Edwardian 9ct gold heart shaped hand engraved clasp

A beautiful 9ct Gold Edwardian hand engraved heart padlock clasp, complete with safety chain, c1900

This lovely antique piece is hand crafted in warm rose Gold, hand engraved to the front with an elaborate foliate design, the rear being plain polished with a hand engraved linear border

Can be added to a bracelet as a beautiful clasp, as intended or converted to a pendant or charm (a small job for a working Jeweller) it does come complete with the original safety chain

In perfect working order, the clasp closes with a good click and remains securely closed

Stamped 9ct GOLD to the rear of the padlock (fully tested)

Weight: 2.9 grams

Dimensions: 25.6mm high x 18mm wide x 2.55mm depth, safety chain is 6cm long

Condition: Very good antique condition, complete with original safety chain, the engraving has minimal wear, remaining very well defined and crisp. Antique patina has been retained (has been hand cloth polished)
