Victorian 15ct gold mourning locket

A Little Victorian 15ct Gold mourning locket c1880s

This petite round locket is skilfully hand engraved with an elaborate monogram to the front and a simple foliate motif to the rear

The locket has the original glass insert that houses a lock of hair, the inside of the locket is engraved : Bn Oct 21st 1820, Dd Dec 3rd 1888

A gorgeous little locket in rich 15ct yellow Gold that can be worn on a chain or bracelet, a small jump ring is attached

The locket closes securely with a click

Unmarked XRF tested as 15CT Gold

Weight: 3.5 grams

Dimensions: 15mm round x 5.7mm depth

Condition: Very good antique condition, a little lead solder to the bottom of the bail, only seen when magnified, the teeniest very shallow indentation to the back of the locket
