I Love this ring! Made in the early Art Deco period, c1920. 3 vibrant royal blue synthetic Sapphires are bezel set with old single cut Diamonds betwixt.

The edges of the bezel setting features gorgeous hand engraved scrolling motifs which help make this ring rather special! The Diamonds are set within a very neat platinum setting that contrasts against the 18ct yellow Gold adding further detail to the setting

Synthetic Gemstones were often used in Fine Art Deco Jewellery and are the same chemical composition as natural gemstones; much time and effort went into their production, the 1920s being a breakthrough era for synthetic gemstones. Jewellery makers and designers embraced the new technology and often favoured them over their natural counterparts

The synthetic Sapphires in this ring would certainly have been highly desirable due to their wonderful colour and clarity!

The ring looks stunning on the finger and is suitable for everyday wear. It would make a lovely Original Art Deco engagement ring and will sit well next to a wedding band or can of course be worn for any occasion!
