Antique 14ct Gold, Enamel & Painted Cherub Porcelain, Sapphire Pendant
Victorian 14ct Gold, porcelain, enamelled pendant, set with an old cut cornflower blue Sapphire
This is a divine Victorian pendant of continental origin from the mid to late 19th century, most probably Italian, with so much detailing and a subtle multi coloured pallet
Exquisitely hand made in 14ct Gold the top section is skillfully enamelled in pinks and creams with brown detailing, with a white enamelled flower head set with a central old cut Cornflower blue Sapphire. Suspended below is a bezel set oblong hand painted porcelain depicting a winged cherub or 'Putti' playing a flute. Upon a decorative fleur de lis bail it is ready to wear from a fine link chain
Unmarked tests as 14ct Gold throughout
Weight: 4.9 grams
Dimensions: 34.5mm long including bail, 20.5mm wide
Condition: Very good antique antique condition, some tiny enamel losses around the white flower head, seen under magnification and not at all detrimental to this beautiful piece
