Antique 18ct Gold & Platinum Old cut Diamond Target Cluster Ring

A beautiful, hand crafted, Art Deco, old cut Diamond cluster ring in 18ct Gold & Platinum by prominent makers of the period: S Blanckensee & Son Ltd, made c1920s

A very striking and unusual setting to this hand crafted original Art Deco ring, 7 white and sparkly old European cut Diamonds are accentuated by little rose cut Diamonds all grain set within a millegrain detailed border, suspended within an openwork Platinum topped frame. A bezel set old cut Diamond is set to each side that elongates the setting creating more sparkle and detail across the width of the finger. The ring also features a beautiful handmade scalloped gallery that sits atop angular shoulders that fall to an angular band, typical of the period

The abundance of old cut Diamonds create a glittering effect to the ring, each hand cut facet catching the light in all directions

The ring is suitable for everyday wear and would make a rather beautiful engagement ring!

7 old European cut Diamonds to the central section, 2.5x2.5x2mm, 0.55 total carat weight, Clarity: SI1-I1 Colour H-I

2 bezel set old European cut Diamonds, 2.4x2.4x2.2, 0.15 total carat weight, Clarity: SI2, Colour: H

Total carat weight of 0.70 carat (excluding rose cut accents)

Dimensions: the setting measures 10mm high x 15.8mm wide and sits off the finger by 4mm

Stamped 18ct (quite rubbed) fully tested to confirm

Condition: Very good Antique condition, there are 2 teeny straight nicks on one of the side diamonds but not seen at all to the naked eye and hard to spot even under 10 x magnification!
