Antique 9ct Gold Heart Locket Pendant, Hand Engraved With Ivy Motifs, Hallmarked in 1897

A beautiful Antique 9ct Gold heart shaped locket, Plain Polished Gold to the front and hand engraved with Ivy motifs to the rear, from the late Victorian era, hallmarked in 1897

The locket is a good size, substantially larger than many of this design and is hand crafted in solid warm and rosey 9ct Gold.

Fully hallmarked to the rear, unlike a gold back and front locket, it is constructed entirely from solid 9ct Gold.

The locket can be worn either way around, the hand engraved Ivy side being particularly lovely and also bears the hallmark

The locket is hinged to the side and closes securely with a good click. Ready to hold your cherished photos or keepsakes safe, it is complete with the original inner frames, it does not have the glazed panels

The locket is on the original oval chunky jump ring ready to add to a gold chain or even a ribbon!

Hallmark: Assayed in Birmingham in 1897, 9.375 (9ct Gold)

Condition: Very good antique condition, there is a teeny, very slight undulation in the polished gold front, hardly noticeable but should be mentioned
