Antique, Early 20th Century 18ct Gold, old European cut Diamond and Natural Sapphire ring c1910s made by J W Benson of London, highly regarded Watch makers and Jewellers of the period
A beautiful boat set antique ring, skillfully hand crafted in solid 18ct Gold and Platinum, with an openwork elliptical Platinum setting that contrasts beautifully against the rich 18ct Gold that it is framed within
The 3 perfectly matched Natural Sapphires are a beautiful translucent cornflower blue, the old cut diamonds betwixt are white and bright, creating lots of sparkle from their hand cut facets
The ring has a quality chunky feel and is practical and very comfortable to wear
The central principal Sapphire is 4.3x4.15mm, the 2 smaller Sapphires are 2.6mm round. The ring has an estimated Sapphire total weight of 0.52 carat
The old European cut Diamonds are estimated in the setting as 0.1 carat each with a total weight of 0.20 carat, Clarity SI1 and Colour H
