Antique, Heavy, Sterling Silver, Double Albert Watch Chain, 63 grams

A fabulous Early Twentieth Century Sterling Silver, curb link Albert watch chain c 1910

This Antique watch chain is a quality, heavy gauge chain at over 62 grams and can be worn as intended to suspend a pocket watch or as a very stylish necklace!

The chain is made up of graduating curb links, 9.3mm at their widest down to 6.6mm. Each end terminates with 2 matching dog clips

Both dog clips are matching and original to the chain and work as they should on good strong hinges

The chain is a nice length for a necklace and slightly longer than most Albert chains of the period at 50cm end to end

Hallmark: Lion passant stamp to each link (for Sterling Silver), The T bar is a slightly later replacement, it bears the date letter for Chester 1931 and makers mark R&S

Makers mark: H.B for Herbert Bushell to the 2 dog clips, R&S to the T bar

Weight: 63 grams

Dimensions: Length end to end is 19 3/4 inches / 50cm, Links are 9.3mm at the widest and graduate down to 6.6mm

Condition: Very Good antique condition, a lovely mellow, antique patina to the Silver, some of the stamps are slightly rubbed commensurate with age
