Antique french 800 silver fancy watch chain

A very striking French Silver antique watch chain c1900

The watch chain is an Albertina style but chunkier and more substantial than most, this one looks a little more masculine than the finer femine ones and was more likely origianlly worn by a dapper Frenchman.

The chain is formed by 4 snake chain links with 2 chunky sliders featuring stylised flower motifs to all sides, the sliders move smoothly along the 4 chains and do stay in place when not moved

The chain would be the perfect addition to suspend a silver pocket watch, it has a strongly hinger dog clip and a rather stylish sturdy T bar

French assay marks to both ends, boars head (denotes minimum fineness of 800 Silver) and tested

Weight: 31.2 grams

Dimensions: 30cm / 11 3/4 inches long, sliders are 23.8x16.4mm, the 4 chains together are 7.6mm wide, the Tbar is 36mm long

Condition: Very Good antique condition, an aged patina to the snake link chain
