Antique, french, silver, paste stones, dove & heart brooch

A fabulous French antique Silver brooch fashioned as a dove in flight holding a heart, a popular motif in France from the late 18th Century, this brooch dates to the late 19th to early 20th Century c1900

hand crafted in 800 Silver the brooch is stunning set throughout with sparkling paste stones that remain in super condition, the eye of the dove being a bright red that glows in the light, the beak holding a little heart, the settings are surrounded by millegrain detailing

The hand made pin to the rear has a lovely catch that has a flower head motif on the end, it pulls out enabling the pin to be removed when taking off and push back to safely cover the pin when worn, very secure and works perfectly!
