Antique, Opal & Old Cut Diamond, 18ct Gold, Cluster Ring

A Fabulous, Antique, 18ct Gold & Old Cut Diamond and Opal dress ring converted from an Antique stick pin

This ring is simply stunning and is going to be very hard to prise from my possession! The large, domed Opal cabochon is heart stopping and mesmerisingly beautiful, you will want to stare at it all day! An Opal lovers delight!

The central domed Opal is surrounded by a halo of dazzling old cut Diamonds, all well matched and original to the piece, super sparkly and bright. There is very little wear to the stones and setting, due to the piece being a stick pin previously it was probably only worn on special occasions

Set atop a hand made openwork gallery that sits off the finger by 8mm, the band is comfortable to wear with a d shaped profile

The magnificent Crystal Opal displays the full spectrum of colours and processes a strong undertone of red rolling flash that makes this Opal so highly sought after

The conversion from stick pin to ring has been a great success, paired with an 18ct Gold antique shank with ornate bifurcated shoulders, it looks like it has always been this way, the 18ct Gold colours to each piece match perfectly

The ring looks absolutely stunning on the finger, the large proportions make it a real statement ring

The 14 old cut Diamonds have an estimated, in the setting, total carat weight of 0.70 carat, clarity SI1 - SI2, Colour H-I

The Australian crystal Opal is 8mm round, with a high domed top and an estimated in the setting carat weight of 1.15 carat

Hallmark: Assayed in Birmingham in 1914, Crown 18

Dimensions: The setting is 12.8mm round and stands off the finger by 8mm

Weight: 3.8 grams

Condition: Very good antique condition - there is a little wear to the opal surface only visible under magnification, still in excellent condition for its age. There is a nick to one of the old cut Diamonds that cannot be seen with the naked eye and is not at all detrimental but should be mentioned
