Beautiful large solid 15ct Gold Victorian Locket with Blue Enamelled star set with split Pearls, c1890

Hand crafted in heavy gauge solid 15ct Gold throughout, rich and warm with a slightly rosey hue, the locket is weighty at 12 grams. The central raised star motif is set with 9 lustrous split Pearls within the striking deep, royal blue enamel surround

The reverse of the locket is skillfully hand engraved with the monogram ED

The inside of the locket is empty, there are no frame inserts, there is a slight recess behind the front section so a photo or keepsake can still be safely stored within

Upon a 15ct Gold chunky jump ring, ready to add to a gold chain or ribbon

The locket closes perfectly with a reassuring click

Unmarked, tests as Solid 15ct Gold throughout

Dimensions: The locket is 42mm/ 1.65 inches high x 30.7mm/ 1.2 inches wide x 12.4mm depth.

Condition: Very Good antique condition, a couple of teeny undulations on the gold at the front above the star, very hard to spot and not detrimental to this beautiful locket. A tiny loss to the enamel, again very hard to spot
