Antique, Late Victorian Forget Me Not, Turquoise & Silver Festoon Necklace c1890

The forget me not flower held much sentiment in Victorian Jewellery, symbolising Remembrance, Love & Fidelity and was often represented using Turquoise gemstones

This fantastic necklace is hand crafted in Silver, the trace link chain is highlighted with natural Turquoise cabochons, suspended from the chain are little forget me nots all set with well matched natural Turquoise cabochons, a larger more elaborate flower head motif is set to the centre, chain swags are between adding a more elaborate look to the necklace

A very beautiful Necklace that looks so striking on the neck

The necklace closes with a handmade toggle clasp

Weight: 15.3 grams

Unmarked, tests as Sterling Silver 925 fineness approximately

Dimensions: necklace length is 42cm/ 16 1/2 inches long, the festoon section is 18cm / 7 inches wide, the central floral drop is 32cm long x 15mm wide

Condition: Very good antique condition, natural characteristic inclusions to the Turquoise that are all very well matched in colour
