Antique, 15ct Gold Locket, Chester Hallmark 1911, 8 grams, On 9ct Gold Chain With Barrel Clasp

An Edwardian round locket in solid 15ct gold - hallmarked in Chester 1911

A beautiful top quality piece that is in amazing condition for its 111 years- the interior looks pristine- a photo or a lock of hair can be put in the locket to the left side (when opened) this section is slightly raised and fits into the right side snuggly

The locket has a skilfully hand engraved monogram to the front that reads H L- the rear is plain and can be worn either way around

Ready to wear- Included with the locket is a slightly later vintage fine trace link 9ct gold chain with barrel clasp - stamped 9ct on the clasp

The locket closes perfectly with a reassuring click

Dimensions: The locket is 25mm/ 1 inch round and 4mm thick approx. The chain is 41cm/ 16 inches long

Condition: Excellent antique condition - no dings or dents- the inside is complete with the inner frames to hold a photo in place to one side the other side fits over this so this is without frames as it would have originally been made. The locket just has some surface wear to the gold commensurate with age- we can have the locket gently professionally polished if preferred for no extra cost) The chain is in excellent condition
