Original Art Deco, Carved Pierced Jade Teardrop Earrings

A very beautiful original pair of Art Deco hand carved and pierced Jade 9ct Gold drop earrings c1920-30s

These unique earrings are all hand made, from the hand carved Jade drops to the flower shaped 9ct Gold backs.

The earrings feature a round top section that sits on the earlobe, hand carved in a flower head motif, Gold mounts suspend the flat teardrop sections below, hand carved and pierced in typical Chinese Jade motifs with blossom and foliate detailing

The mottled Jade, in a pale aqua green colour with a subtle sheen is in excellent condition with no chips or damage

The earrings are beautifully preserved, the Gold posts for pierced ears screw on to the flower shaped backs so they stay on securely

The earrings are unmarked, quite usual for the period, fully tested as 9ct Gold fittings throughout

Dimensions: 4.8cm long 9.4mm wide at widest point, the top flowerhead jade section is 9.4mm round
