Victorian 10ct gold, heart shaped mourning locket, pendant

Gorgeous and very sweet little Victorian 10ct Gold mourning locket with glazed reverse c1880

With a skilfully hand engraved monogram to the front which is quite elaborate so a little hard to decipher but looks to read IHLC, the glazed reverse would have contained a lock of hair, this is now empty ready to add your own treasure to (you may need a jeweller to remove the glazed panel for you)

The locket pendant is on the original oval bail ready to add to a trace link chain

Stamped 10 to the original bail and XRF tested as 10ct Gold

Weight: 2.2 grams

Dimensions: 14.3mm wide x 24mm high, including bail, 5.6mm depth

Condition: very good antique condition, no dents or dings, the locket glazed panel hasn't been removed by us, you may need a jeweller to remove this if you want to put something within
