Victorian 15ct Gold, split Pearl & Turquoise crescent moon necklace

A very Beautiful Victorian 15ct Gold crescent moon fringe necklace, set with split Pearls and Natural Turquoise

This antique articulated fringe necklace is stunning, hand crafted in a rich 15ct Gold, the front section featuring a row of graduating crescent moon motifs, set with split Pearls, each one set to the centre with a natural Turquoise cabochon, interspersed with a row of flower motif drop sections

The crescent moon motif was very popular in the victorian period symbolizing life changes, the cycle of life and also new beginnings, the necklace would make a very beautiful bridal piece!

The rope chain is in lovely condition and fastens with a very secure barrel clasp

The Split pearls are all well matched, creamy and iridescent with pinky overtones, the Turquoise have slight natural colour variations , the central larger cabochon being a more teal colour

The chain has a 15ct tag (for 15ct Gold) and is XRF tested

Dimensions: 37cm long, The necklace is quite short and is only suitable for a dainty neck! The front section is 9.2cm wide, 15,6mm high at the highest point

Condition: Very good antique condition, the pearls, Turquoise and settings are all in beautiful original condition, there looks to have been a tiny repair at each end of the chain where the chain meets the barrel clasp but this is not at all noticeable when worn
