A striking reversible, 18ct Gold & Bloodstone Victorian locket with horse shoe motif to one side, with full hallmark for 1890Hand crafted in rich , buttery 18ct GoldThe locket is reversible, it can be worn showing the horseshoe motif or the large bloodstone central plaqueThe bloodstone features flashes of red throughout and remains shiney with a few little nibbles to the edges from wear over its 133 years !The locket closes with a little click and remains closed when worn, inside there are 2 photos that we have left in situ, these can be removed on purchase by request if preferedOn the original 18ct Gold jump ring ready to add to a Gold chainThere is a personal inscription inside the locket that reads August 31st 1897Hallmark: clear hallmark inside the locket for Birmingham 1890, Crown 18 for 18ct GoldMakers mark: MW & SWeight: 10.1 gramsDimensions: 28.2mm high x 17.2mm wide x 11.2mm depthCondition: Good antique condition, The bloodstone has some little nibbles to the edges to be expected in a piece of this age. There are some indentations within the gold but not detrimental to the piece, the piece has clearly been loved and worn and has the signs of age that only an antique piece will display, mellowed and beautiful!
