Victorian button sterling silver drop earrings, hallmarked 1899

A beautiful pair of Sterling Silver earrings converted from large late Victorian buttons, hallmarked in 1898/99

The large antique buttons feature an openwork textured foliate design to the front and a polished back, the front of the button faces forward when worn in the ears

Hallmarked: Assayed in London in 1898/99, lion passant for Sterling Silver

Weight: 10.3 gram (combined weight)

Dimensions: 28.2mm round, 3mm thick

Condition: Excellent antique condition, the sterling Silver hook fittings are new, the silver has been cleaned in the conversions is bright and new looking and will mellow over time
