This is a large and top quality Victorian 18ct Gold, crescent moon brooch, having such a timeless appeal yet made over 120 years ago, a real heirloom piece!
The brooch is skilfully hand crafted in rich 18ct Gold and set with the creamiest iridescent cultured pearls with subtle pink overtones, that remain in beautiful condition, no damage to any of the nacre , shiny and perfectly matched
The inside of the crescent has a solid polished profile and the outside of the crescent has a beautifully hand made scalloped openwork gallery
Set with 32 pearls that range in size from 1.8mm to 4mm
18ct Tag to the rear of the brooch, the pin is 9ct, (also fully tested)
Weight: 9.5 grams
Dimensions: 56.5mm long x 25mm wide, the crescent is 9.6mm wide at its widest point
Condition: Very good antique condition, a little play in the pin as is often the case in antique brooches due to their hand made nature. All in all, beautifully preserved!
