






Victorian, Scottish Malachite Flower, Sterling Silver Panel Bracelet
A stunning Victorian, Scottish, Silver and Malachite bracelet, from the late 19th Century
Scottish Hardstone jewellery became very popular in the mid to late 1800s. Prince Albert and Queen Victorian purchased Balmoral Castle in Scotland in 1852, Queen Victoria brought back souvenirs from her stay and of course what Queen Victoria did many others would follow and agate jewellery became all the rage!
The central flower head design set with polished Malachite within engraved borders makes this bracelet ever so striking!
The Malachite are a bright and vibrant grass green with lots of characteristic markings within the stone, upon a hand engraved tubular link bracelet with hand engraved reeded clasp
The clasp closes securely, the bracelet is also complete with a safety chain for added security
Unmarked, tests as approximately Sterling Silver 925 fineness
Weight: 21.9 grams
Dimensions: 18cm/ 7 inches long, Links are 12.8mm wide, The flower head is 27.4mm x 31.8mm, the safety chain is presently quite short but could easily be replaced for a slightly longer one to make it easier to get on and off
Condition: Very Good antique condition, some slight wear and indentations to some of the bracelet links, the Malachite flower section is in very good condition, without cracks or splits to the stones
