Victorian Sterling Silver, book chain collar necklace, 41 grams

A fabulous Victorian Sterling Silver book chain, collar necklace from the late 19th Century c1880s

This Victorian Sterling Silver collar is very striking, made up of tubular links all cleverly connected by an oval link which also incorporates the ball detail that runs along the outside of the chain

The chain terminates with a a large bolt ring clasp that suspends a further drop and a slightly larger bolt ring clasp to the bottom that can easily be removed if desired then
the chain can be worn as a simple collar necklace with the bolt ring to the rear, very versatile!

So very wearable and really tactile and drapes beautifully when worn! Wear alone or add an antique locket or pendant to the large bolt ring.

Unmarked, tested as Sterling Silver approx. 925 fineness
