A fabulous Victorian Sterling Silver book chain, collar necklace from the late 19th Century c1880s

This Victorian Sterling Silver collar is very striking indeed! Featuring hand engraved links, each one of foliate design is different and unique. The hand engraved links are connected by a scalloped edged flat link creating further detailing to the collar.

A quality example in a heavy gauge of Silver at over 50 grams!

This beautiful book chain is complete with the large bolt ring that connects the drop, terminating in a slightly smaller bolt ring clasp that can be used to suspend a locket or pendant but also looks very stylish worn as is. The drop section can easily be removed if desired and worn as a simple collar necklace, the bolt ring can be worn at the back or front, a very versatile piece!

So very wearable and really tactile and drapes beautifully when worn! Wear alone or add an antique locket or pendant to the large bolt ring.
