Made by acclaimed London Silver Smiths, William Comyn's and sons, their quality items retailed in high end stores, these cherub design pieces were very popular and remain very appealing today. With raised detailing to the silver, winged cherubs nestle amongst foliate motifs. This box is so tactile, all smoothed and rounded edges, still in wonderful condition with a lovely antique patina

The box contains the original ring insert which will hold up to 5 rings

Hallmarked to the lid (slightly rubbed) and lip : Assayed in London 1897, Lion Passant
