Victorian sterling silver & rose gold hand engraved Aesthetic movement brooch, pin / pendant

This Victorian brooch is really beautiful - it dates to the late Victorian Aethetic period when a resurgence of craftsmanship and things aesthetically beautiful came into vogue- this brooch heavily inspired by Japanese art features hand engraved birds, fans , bamboo and foliage to beautiful effect

Made in silver with rose gold inlay surrounding the brooch and the fan detail. The brooch can also be worn as a pendant as there is a loop on the top of the widest side (a later addition)

The brooch has a lovely antique patina some surface wear to be expected

The clasp is a simple hand made c clasp - there is a little bit of play in the silver pin and a slight bend but is fine when worn.

The brooch is unmarked and fully tested
