Vintage, 18ct Gold, Chunky Knot Ring, Mid 20th Century

Striking mid century 18ct Gold knot ring, Italian, c1950

This mid 20th Century ring was Made in Vicenza, Italy, the world renowned and historic Italian city and 'Gold capital' famous for its artisan Goldsmith's hand crafted Jewellery

The head of the ring is a large hand crafted knot made of up of tubular sections, creating a stunning symmetrical knot motif with central ball detail, the graduated shank being reeded adding further detail and texture.

The ring looks fantastic worn alone as a statement ring, the chunky knot spanning the front of the finger

The 18ct Gold is rich and vibrant with a hint of rose colour

US ring size: 5 1/2

Hallmark: Italian stamp 68VI (for maker and province , Vicenza) 750 stamp (18ct Gold) and OBA, fully tested as 18ct Gold

Weight: 5.8 grams

Dimensions: Head of the ring (the knot) is 22mm wide x 13.7mm high, the reeded band is 6.3mm graduating to 3.4mm at the rear.

Condition: Very good vintage condition, the shank is a little oval as there has been a historic resize down at some point but this isnt evident on the reeded band
