Vintage, 1940s, 9ct Gold, Utility wedding band ring, hallmarked in 1946
Vintage, 1940s, 9ct Gold Utility wedding ring, by acclaimed Jewellers, Lawson, Gammage & Ward
A very collectible 9ct Gold utility wedding ring by a quality maker. During world war 2 Britain, these Utility wedding rings were the only wedding rings available due to the restricted use of precious metals and the prohibition of non essential Jewellery during the period. This ring dates to just after the war, 1947, as the restriction continued for some years after.
A very comfortable to wear, court shaped band. Great for stacking with other bands of different styles and precious metals
