Vintage Large Norwegian Filigree 830s Silver Brooch In Case

A magnificent Early 20th Century Norwegian Silver filigree brooch in antique case, c1910s to 1920s

The brooch is a large and heavy example and is rather striking with its target design with central Flower head motif all in intricately handmade filigree wirework with rope edge detailing and studded highlights

The brooch has a slightly convex shape and looks very striking when worn at over 6cm round

The brooch closes securely with a c clasp and pin and has a later attached safety chain and pin for added security

Dimensions: The brooch measures 6.2cm round and 6mm deep

Stamped 830s to the rear (for 830 grade silver) and the Norwegian Silver control mark of a crowned rampant lion

Weight: 26.7 grams
